Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

At BrainyTots, we design simple, science‑led toys for joyful little minds—and we want your experience with us to feel just as reassuring. If something isn’t right, we’ll make it right.
1) 7‑Day Unconditional Returns
Changed your mind? No problem. You may return any BrainyTots product for any reason within 7 calendar days of delivery, no questions asked.
How it works

Start a return: Email support@brainytots.com or WhatsApp/Call +91 7385878142 within 7 days of the delivery date. Share your order number and the item(s) you’d like to return.

Pickup / drop‑off: We’ll arrange a prepaid pickup in serviceable PIN codes. If pickup isn’t available, we’ll share a return address and reimburse standard courier charges against a receipt (caps may apply; we’ll confirm before you ship).

Pack with care: Please return the product with all parts, accessories, and the original outer packaging (where available). Keep toys dry and protected to avoid transit damage.

Refund options: Full refund to the original payment method, or BrainyTots Store Credit (your choice) once the item reaches our warehouse and passes a quick check.
Condition & fairness policy

We happily accept opened items—exploration is part of play! If parts are missing or the product is heavily used/damaged beyond normal handling, we may offer a partial refund proportional to restoration/replacement costs. We’ll transparently share photos/notes.

If you received a free gift with purchase, please include it in the return or we may adjust the refund value.

Expedited shipping fees (if you opted for them) are non‑refundable; standard shipping is refunded with the product.
Return pickup attempts

We’ll make up to two pickup attempts. If both attempts fail due to unavailability or address issues, we can reschedule; a nominal courier charge may apply.
2) Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
We pack with care. If something arrives damaged, defective, or not what you ordered, tell us within 7 days of delivery and we’ll replace it or refund you—whichever you prefer.
To speed things up, please share 2–3 clear photos (or a short unboxing video if you have one) showing the outer box, inner packaging, and the issue. This helps us resolve it fast and improve future packaging.
If the delivery looks tampered or the box is visibly damaged, you may refuse delivery and contact us right away so we can dispatch a fresh package.
3) “Delivered, but not received”
If your order shows Delivered but you didn’t receive it, contact us within 3 days of the delivery scan. We’ll raise a carrier investigation and support you throughout. (Beyond 3 days, courier traceability becomes limited, which may restrict resolution options.)
4) Refunds — Timelines & Method

Once your return is received, we complete the quality check in 48 hours and initiate your refund immediately.

Prepaid orders: Refund to original payment method typically reflects in 3–7 business days (bank/issuer dependent). Please allow up to 15 business days in rare cases.

Cash on Delivery (COD): We’ll request your bank details and process a NEFT within 4–7 business days of approval.

You’ll receive an email/WhatsApp confirmation with the transaction ID once processed.
5) Cancellations

Before dispatch: You can cancel by writing to support@brainytots.com. If already paid, we’ll refund the amount minus the non‑refundable payment gateway fee (up to 2.5%).

After dispatch: The order can no longer be cancelled. Please accept the delivery and initiate a 7‑day return (free and unconditional) instead.
6) What’s Covered vs. Not Covered
Our 7‑day window is unconditional on reason, but we do need items back with their parts and components. To keep things fair for all parents:

Change of mind, not a match for your home/routine, gift not needed, baby didn’t take to it yet

Transit damage/defects, missing items, wrong item shipped
May lead to partial refund (we’ll always discuss first)

Missing pieces, significant wear/tear, water damage, stains, writing/marking on wood or fabric components

Returns shipped without adequate packaging leading to transit damage
Not considered defects

Natural variations in wood grain/colour or minor measurement tolerances inherent to handcrafted items
7) Anti‑Fraud & Fair Use
We’re here to help and keep returns easy. To protect our community and keep prices fair, BrainyTots may limit or decline returns/refunds in cases of suspected fraud, abuse, excessive returns, or policy misuse. Decisions are made with care and transparency.
8) Legal & Compliance

This policy is designed to be consistent with applicable Indian consumer laws and e‑commerce rules.

Governing law & jurisdiction: These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Pune, Maharashtra.

Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., courier disruptions, natural events).

Policy updates: We may update this policy from time to time. The version/date above indicates the latest effective version.
